The first nose cones included in Venus FAI kits (RKT-005) were
fiberglass/epoxy formed over a male mould. The process was time
consuming but the results favorable.
Over a period of time, we sought to streamline the process and
improve consistency in finish, mass and per unit time investment.
Now that the method has been refined, we can offer the nose cones
found in our space model kit as a standard accessory part.
The noses come in red or white plastic and include foam shoulder,
shock chord, chord anchor bulkhead, Kevlar thread and assembly
instructions.
The noses are shown below in red plastic:
